Conversations Boutique isn’t the only thing we are passionate about – even before we started our business, we knew we wanted use our boutique to support the philanthropic efforts of organizations dedicated to the health and wellness of women, as well as other causes near and dear to our hearts.
This is why Conversations Boutique proudly supports a variety of national and local charities including the Battered Women’s Shelter, NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), Stewart’s Caring Place and PAWsibilities. We host several events each year in conjunction with these philanthropies where a portion of the proceeds from our sales goes to each of these amazing organizations. PAWsibilities®, the Humane Society of Greater Akron, is the area’s trusted advocate for abused, neglected and abandoned animals of Summit County. PAWsibilities® focuses on animal adoption services, animal cruelty and neglect investigation, and community education and outreach. There is hope for the families of violence, women, men and children who are in danger of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. The Battered Women’s Shelter of Summit and Medina Counties provides emergency services and supportive services to victims seeking to end family violence.
Unlike other agencies that focus on victims of all types of crime, Battered Women’s Shelter is the only agency in Summit and Medina counties that focuses on family violence, intervention and prevention. Learn more >
Stewart’s Caring Place: Cancer Wellness Center derives its namesake from Dr. Stewart Surloff, whose cancer journey ended in 2001. His legacy is carried in the form of Stewart’s Caring Center, a nonprofit dedicated to providing a caring, relaxed environment, which offers supportive services and programs for individuals and families on their cancer journey.
Programs and services include lectures and workshops, a resource center, healing arts, community referrals, movement classes, counseling, attorney consults, children and family programs, support groups and wigs. All of their services are free of charge. Learn more >
